Cuttings RCS 2.0

A new generation of young plants

RCS® 2.0 is an innovative propagation system developed by Selecta one® for professional horticulture. Cuttings are rooted without substrate, in biodegradable paper bags, eliminating the need for peat and other traditional growing media.

This system helps reduce the consumption of water, energy and materials, while also reducing transport costs thanks to its low weight. All of this contributes to a significant reduction in the carbon footprint.

Trial at Grup Roig

RCS® 2.0 Dianthus young plants have been tested at our facilities, from planting the cuttings through to the final finished plant.

The results show a 20% reduction in planting costs, thanks to a faster and simpler process. It also facilitates storage and transport.

Throughout the cultivation process, we observed strong and uniform root development, resulting in a very positive final outcome.
